Whether you have plans to ring in the New Year out on the town or from the comfort of your home, we’ve got your wardrobe covered with some style tips to have you looking – and feeling – your best!
Style Tip: Go Gold!
If you’re hosting a casual party with friends or watching the ball drop with the family, you can still get into the spirit with subtle style upgrades and accessories. Instead of your go-to joggers or jeans, opt for a pair of faux-leather leggings—they’re just as comfy, but twice as glam. Pair with a metallic sweater with a hint of gold to complete your look. A perfect dressed down option.
Going out? NYE is the night not to apologize for excessive sparkles and bling. The best out-on-the-town complement to this yellow-toned metal: black! Try a black dress with gold-foil polka dots or details, black pants with a slinky gold top or a metallic skirt with a draped black blouse. Then, finish strong with shiny gold heels—the perfect pump to dance the night away.
Style Tip: Accessorize with Sequins!
The benefit of staying in on NYE? Getting to rock your favorite boyfriend jeans or jeggings sans any judgement! Slay your look with an embellished top or printed flats with sequin accents. You’ll look polished and at ease.
Sequins and champagne go hand-in-hand for a night out Vegas-style. Whether you opt for a more subtle sequin accent or a head-to-toe look, it will give you instant glam.
Downtown Summerlin® boasts a variety of stellar brands to shop your New Year’s Eve look. A stop at Madewell, Brooks Brothers, Macy’s, Forever 21, H&M, Dillard’s Lilyful and Nordstrom Rack will have you stepping out in style!
Now that we’ve talked through style tips for what to wear, it’s time to talk locations for where to go. Here are a few notable stops worth considering when making your New Year’s Eve plans.
Andiron Steak & Sea at Downtown Summerlin has a festive celebration worth considering. The local restaurant hosts a ticketed masquerade dining experience. With a special pre-set menu and three reservation selections at 8:30 p.m., 9 p.m. and 9:30 p.m., it offers the perfect off-Strip location to get dressed up and celebrate in style.
Another dining hot-spot to consider is Trattoria Reggiano at Downtown Summerlin. The local Italian haunt is offering a complimentary champagne toast, live music and party hats and noise makers for patrons dining at the restaurant. The celebration starts at 4 p.m.
Want to capture a good view of the fireworks from The Strip? We do too. Seven Las Vegas will have fireworks including Stratosphere, Treasure Island, The Venetian, Caesars Palace, Aria, Planet Hollywood, and MGM Grand. The show starts at midnight and can be viewed from the comfort of your home on TV – or your balcony if you are lucky enough to have a Strip view, or from any Strip hotel making it a fun staycation and night out!
Another great option to ring in 2019 is Fremont Street Experience. The Fremont Street New Year’s Eve party, themed America’s Party, is always a blast. Lots of live performances with over 12 bands on four stages, including a dazzling EDM stage with alluring dancers and aerialists. Tickets start at just $35 per person.
Happy New Year!
